What is EnSky?

EnSky is an on-premises network management solution by EnGenius. This innovative total solution has a rich product portfolio including the controller SkyKey (hardware) and ezMaster (software), the managed indoor and outdoor wireless devices, managed Ethernet switches, and the mobile EnWiFi App.

What is ezMaster?

ezMaster is a software tool that allows you to manage and scale your network with convenience and flexibility. It allows organizations such as branch offices and managed service providers, to easily and affordably deploy, monitor, and manage a large number of Neutron APs, controller switches and managed smart switches across geographically diverse properties.

What is ezMaster AMI?

For large-scale deployments where devices intended for management are geographically placed far apart, the ezMaster AMI is for deployment via the customer’s own AWS account. It serves as a centralized management platform where all devices can be added to the inventory list on this AWS instance and registered with an ezRegister server for management.

What is SkyKey?

SkyKey is an on-premises network management platform with built-in ezMaster software. It is powered by an 802.3af/at PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch or by DC12V power. You can plug it in to any PoE switch without complex installation or integrations. Simply plug and play.

How many devices can be managed by ezMaster?

ezMaster can manage a few or over 1,000+ devices on an unlimited number of networks.

How many devices can be managed by Skykey?

SkyKey can manage up to 100 devices.

How many devices can be managed by an EWS switch?

The ezMaster tool inside EWS switches can manage up to 50 devices.

What are the system requirements of ezMaster?

Recommended environment for managing up to 500 APs CPU: Intel i3 3.6GHz dual core or above, RAM: 4GB minimum HDD: 500GB (actual requirement depending on log size), OS: Microsoft® Windows® 7 or later + VMware® Player 7.0 or compatible virtualization software.

Recommended environment for managing up to 1000 APs CPU: Intel i5 3.2GHz quad core or above, RAM: 4GB minimum HDD: 500GB (actual requirement depending on log size), OS: Microsoft® Windows® 7 or later + VMware® Player 7.0 or compatible virtualization software.

What is "Check Code" and where can I find it ?

Check codes are used for registering devices to ezMaster. The "check code" of the AP can be found in the following places:

1. The device label on the bottom of the AP.

2. By accessing the AP's user interface under "Device Status > Device Information" or "Management > Controller Settings."

Can ezMaster manage cloud APs?

No, ezMaster cannot manage cloud APs.

Can ezMaster manage AP in Client Bridge mode for EAP/ENS/ENH series?

No, ezMaster can only manage the EAP/ENS/ENH series in AP mode.

Does ezMaster support Guest Network?

Yes, ezMaster support Guest Network. It can be configured through "HotSpot Service > Captive Portal."

Can an AP be configured in standalone mode when it is managed by ezMaster?

No, after an AP has been set up to be managed by ezMaster, users can only check the device status, reboot/reset the device or set controller settings through the standalone GUI.

Can an AP be locally and remotely managed by ezMaster?

Yes, APs can be managed by a local ezMaster or managed by a remote ezMaster once the devices have been added to the device inventory and the remote ezMaster is reachable by configuring the correct firewall and/or NAT rules.

Does ezMaster support 3rd party radius?

Yes, ezMaster supports Cloud4Wi 3rd-party authentication server.

Does ezMaster support multi-tenancy?

Yes, ezMaster supports multi-tenancy.

When using multi-tenant, will the assigned user be able to view other projects?

No, the user will only be able to see assigned projects.

Can ezMaster export the list of multi-tenant users according to the assigned project to Excel format?

No, the ezMaster can only export the list of multi-tenant online users with their username, IP address, operating system, browser, and last login time.

How many projects and groups can be created in ezMaster VM, ezMaster AMI and SkyKey?

There are no limitations to create the project and group on ezMaster VM, ezMaster AMI, and SkyKey.

Can ezMaster be reached via EnGenius Cloud?

No, only SkyKey can be reached via EnGenius Cloud.

Will the AP still function if ezMaster fails?

Yes, all configurations on ezMaster are stored in the APs. The AP will still function if ezMaster fails.
